Details

The 741 is a widely used monolithic operational amplifier constructed on a single silicon chip. It is intented for a wide range of analog applications.

  • Summing amplifier
  • Voltage follower
  • Integrator
  • Active filter
  • Function generator

The 741 Op Amp was first introduced in 1968 and quickly became popular due to its ease of use. The 741 also known as the LM741 or UA741 can be found in many circuits and can be used as a replacment for the older 709. The high gain and wide range of operating voltages provides good performance in integrator, summing amplifier and general feedback applications. The internal compensation network (6dB/ octave) insures stability in closed loop circuits.
